How did you like the torture chamber race? That race is tougher than any of them. Even tougher than St. Gen. RR. Much tougher than Doggy and Hell's Kitchen. I wonder what the grade was on the last part of the hill near the finish...that fucker was like a wall. It was definitely over 15%. Oh how I relished it.
I wouldn't know. I ended up leaving this morning before the race. I'm sick as a dog, and I believe me racing would have made it worse. I almost turned around and went back. So piiiiiiisssssssssssstttttttttttttt. I did drive some of the course yesterday though it looked pretty brutal. How did you end up doing?
18th in a field over 40. I'm a little happy with it considering I'm not in the shape I know I can be. Also, I felt like a fat ass because my stomach was all bloated..I think I ate too much before the race. I was so bloated I didn't even finish drinking two bottles in 60 miles of wicked climbs.
Sorry you got sick...that sucks. Maybe it saved you from something bad. Things happen for a reason. Later.
